The Book Blogger Hop is a weekly Hop hosted by Ramblings Of A Coffee Addicted Writer. The book-related questions are submitted by other bloggers.
This week’s question:
Is every day a reading day for you?
At one point in my life (a.k.a. pre-children!), I read every day for fun and devoured books by the dozens. Now with 3 littles running around and the responsibilities of my business, reading time doesn’t happen as often as I would like.
I spend a lot of time reading for professional development especially now as I’m working on my writing and blogging. I also read a lot as part of my freelance business where I edit books.
So, to be honest, every day is a reading day for me, just not the kind of reading I would like. One of my goals for 2017 is to read more for fun.
I guess I over-classify things. I do read every day, but if it isn’t “fun” reading, then I don’t count it as reading. Same goes for writing. Another goal for 2017 is to write 500 words per day, but if I’m not writing for my blog or my book, I don’t count the words. This past week, I’ve learned that if I count all of the writing that I do, I frequently surpass my word count goal by hundreds and sometimes thousands of words.
