A Visit By Ghosts
Today’s letter at ABC Wednesday is “G” and the only word I could think of was green. I’ve started daydreaming of green trees, green fields, green grass, green plants … you get the picture. Spring can’t come soon enough because West Virginia is quite drab during winter – gray, brown, and muddy.
This is totally off topic, but do you know what “frud” is? Us West Virginians know all too well. Take a guess and leave a comment if you think you know.
Anyway, I was meandering through my gazillion photos in Picasa looking for something green, when I found a ghostly apparition. He just happens to be green, so what better way to illustrate “G” than green ghost?
Anyone want to take a guess on how this ghostly apparition was created?
And, yes, these photos are straight from the camera and totally unedited.

Colorful ghosts are the very best kind. I’m guessing: salt? sugar? soda? sprinkled on the flames…

I think it’s what happens when a little jet of coal gas is released from the coal! Pretty effect, whatever it is!
Wonderful photos. On behalf of the ABC team, thank you.
