I've done it since 1983, though my wife was the stay-at-home primary care giver for the first few years of our daughter's life. But what I think each of us can do is start at least one blog on a topic that we love. And when you get it moving, it's time to get people to notice it (twitter can help with that) and then get people to play to read it. It's not easy and there are lots of steps, but working from home and putting in time when you HAVE the time works well with something like this. Let me know if I can help you understand this better.
