As you’re reading this, I’m happily on my way to a 4-day, 3-night vacation. Yay!
I’m also hoping that I’m not sick. This is a scheduled post that I wrote late Tuesday evening and, at the time, the Farmer (that’s my hubby) had a sinus infection. Please tell me that I didn’t get it next!
So what have I been up to recently? Besides preparing for a couple of days away, I’ve spent a lot of time this week working on this blog as well as a designing a soon-to-be-unveiled blog on my business site.
Converting this blog from Blogger to WordPress was slightly monumental. I never imagined it would’ve taken as long as it did. I’m sure others have moved seamlessly, but I’m too much of a perfectionist. (Strongly dislike that tendency!) Moving meant everything had to be just right. All of the key pieces had to be in place. The design had to be similar, yet fresh.

Last week I introduced you to a program called FaithLeaps. (You can read the post here.) This week I wanted to tell you about my experience with the program.
A couple of weeks ago, Alyssa, the author of FaithLeaps, announced her new program via Twitter. (By the way, if you’re not on Twitter, you really should be. It will open a whole new world to you. More about that in another post…) Alyssa was looking for a handful of women to participate in FaithLeaps during its inaugural run. She offered a great really awesome deal on membership for the first 10 women to sign up.
I was intrigued, so I went to her website and read about it. Sounded interesting. But, I walked away without signing up. However, I couldn’t get the concept out of my mind. After a couple of hours, I knew the Lord was burdening me to participate. Long story short, I signed up.
The purpose

Welcome to Ramblings-n-Writings at its new home! In an effort to consolidate and save time, I decided to move my blog to the same host as my business site. Doing so allows me to keep everything in a central location and easily make backups; however, I had to change blogging platforms from Blogger to WordPress.
If you’ve received this post via your feed reader (Bloglines, Google Reader, e-mail, etc.), you don’t need to do anything. I tried to make the move as hassle free as possible and I think it succeeded. You might want to check your browser “favorites” or “bookmarks” and update with my new address – http://www.ramblings-n-writings.com.
I’ll also be double-posting at my old Blogger home for a few days to make sure no one gets lost in the move. My readers are valuable to me so I don’t want to lose anyone!
P.S. – If anything on this new site doesn’t work properly, could you let

The weatherman on the Saturday night news said we could see a dusting to 7 inches of snow overnight. I kinda laughed and even tweeted about the forecast. Couldn’t the weatherman predict the amount a little better than that?
Seriously, there’s a big difference between a dusting and 7 inches! A dusting means we’d be able to get out of the house later today. Seven inches means we’d be stuck here til at least Tuesday since we wouldn’t see a snow plow til before that!
This morning we woke to a winter wonderland. I love the snow that sticks to the trees making everything white.
The snow was really light and fluffy with about 4 inches on the ground. As Mandy is demonstrating below, wherever the snow is disturbed, it quickly disappears.
This small tree fascinated me. It’s not very far from the house – maybe 30 feet – but I never noticed its curly branches before. I
