Today’s letter at ABC Wednesday is Z. What a perfect letter for us since we have enough animals to start our own zoo! Besides the 20 cows, flock of chickens and guineas, and a lot of dogs, we also have 5 kitties and 1 kitten.
The kitties have each had a post or two of their own, but I wanted to introduce them all together again.
Sassy Lou – 1-1/2 years old, she’s my Tortie and Buttercup’s buddy. She was a mommy kitty during the summer.
Buttons – 2-1/2 year old Norwegian Forest Cat mix, lots of fur and a big mouth. She’s very pretty but not photogenic.
Penelope – almost 4 years old. Do you see her famous feature? She has no tail! Penelope is a calico Manx and the spitfire of our cat herd. She’s very particular about things too – eat out of a certain dish, sleep in a specific spot, get scratched a certain way.
Sylvester – 6 years old, one of my first kittens along with his brother Winks. He’s a lap cat and a very big boy. And he’s a tuxedo cat.

Sweet kitties! We have a tail-less wonder, too, and she definitely has lots of ‘character’ as well.
I just love cats! LOVE them like crazy! Last week I was out with Kimmy Abraham and her two kids and Kaish. We were picking up her dog Ruby from Pet Smart and there was a company doing cat adoptions. The cats were so darling. Oh. My. Gosh! I really wanted one. Gary wants one too. Kaish wants a puppy. We’ll see. The only thing I don’t like is cat pee and carpet… I have lots of memories of us playing with cats when we were little : ). Great memories!
