Snow Day on the Farm

For once the weather man got it right! We got snow! :) Unfortunately, it happened on a holiday so we won’t see a snow plow for a couple of days.

The snow isn’t very deep, about 3 inches, but underneath it is ice. This is a corner on our gravel road. If a driver misjudges the corner or hits ice, he’ll end up…

down here in the creek. The road is just above the top left corner of the photo. Nope, no guardrails on our roads.

Snow covered hay bales. I guess the cows think they’re getting hay with icing. :)

Footbridge crossing the snowy, partly frozen creek.

Duck tracks on the frozen pond! :)

All that white fluffy stuff is beautiful to me. I love the white curves of the road, the white hills and hilltops and white backdrop through the bare trees. No snow here in Florida, so I travel up to the Appalachian mts every year to see it.
I guess we admire those things we do not have or rarely get to see.

    Thanks for sharing the photos.

We got a good snowfall here in PA too on the 19th. Love the duck tracks!
