I read them when I was his age. Some of her stories are about girls and some are about boys - all are good and teach various biblical truths. The Mandie series are really good mysteries, but the main character is a girl, and some boys might not like reading about a girl. You might want to check out writtenwindows.blogspot.com - she writes reviews of children's books.
