This past weekend I came down with a horrid cold that has really disturbed my sleeping schedule. It’s one of those colds where if you lay down, you can’t breathe, but if you sit up, your nose runs. And I’ve been through a whole box of tissues in two days. I should probably apply for the position of Rudolph for the upcoming Christmas season. =)

So amidst my attempts to sleep and get things accomplished between sniffles, I’ve thought some about Uncertain. In fact, I couldn’t sleep one night so I crawled out of bed, gathered my tissue box, notebook and pen, and proceeded to write 8 pages in less than two hours!!!! Yay!

And while writing, I even created a character that I didn’t know existed! That probably sounds totally bizarre to anyone who isn’t familiar with fiction writing, but usually you plan your characters or at least have an idea of who the main character will encounter. This particular character wasn’t even on my radar! It’s so weird to see things that I’ve studied (letting your characters lead you) actually happen.
