Today was an exciting day for us – our house foundation was poured!!!! If all goes well, we’ll have our closing this week and the house will be delivered by the end of the week! Woo-hoo!
Of course, this means I’ll be offline for a bit – probably the last week of May – but I’ll let you know more details when I know them.
Through this whole process I am learning patience! I can’t even begin to describe the feeling of clueless-ness I have at times. I think the guy that reads our electric meter thought I was crazy today. I kept re-questioning him about the order I need to call people to have our electric converted from one house to the other. I’m a detail person and I like knowing that my details are in order and that I’m doing something correctly. I absolutely hate having to re-do things. I want it done right the first time! Maybe that’s why I’m a plodder when it comes to writing. Of course, having things done right the first time kind of cracks me up since my main line of work is editing – fixing things that aren’t right. =)
Another piece of news is the kittens are out of the scooting stage and in the wobbly walking stage. Stay tuned for their 3 week pictures tomorrow!
If you have a minute, jump over to my other “new” blog to see a photo of one of our farm gardens. =)
And I leave you with an incredibly exciting, worthy of a photo journalist award picture of our new foundation before the concrete was poured….
