Deer Watching
While we were out Friday evening, we saw this 4-point buck walking through a field. He’ll make someone a nice wall mount in a couple of years.
A little bit farther down the road was a group of about 9 deer, including this doe and her two yearlings. Typically, when we drive this particular road about 6 o’clock-ish, we see about 50-60 deer within a 4-mile stretch. We were actually hoping to see the piebald deer (mostly white) that frequents one of the fields. Of course, because I had the camera, he wasn’t out!
Autumn Afternoon Walk
Today our weather was beautiful – the perfect, crisp, refreshing autumn day! My hubby and I took a 4-wheeler ride around part of our property and Honey came along for the journey. The trail winds along the ridge line and from our guess is approximately 3/4 to 1 mile long. So, it was quite a workout for Honey as she trotted along about 20 feet behind us. The fresh air was definitely invigorating!
